Broken into teeny little pieces by the end of a relationship I decided to  fly 6000 miles around the World to teach English. Again. (This time: Vietnam). Also, started a blog. This one. I don’t have the faintest idea where I’m going but at least I’m going somewhere.

My blog falls into 3 neat little categories. Things about M – my ex-wife – because writing about my confused feelings helps.

Travelly-travel things because I like travelly-travel stuff.

Musings on misogyny, sexism and feminism because it’s amazing to me how f*cked up and far we still are from true equality.

I haven’t used any real names because I haven’t asked anyone who pops up in this blog if they mind being written about. Even so, I have two aims – absolute honesty and no self-pity, though in the interests of honesty, into this blog some self-pity may slip.

The Players:

M – Former partner of 9 years.

G – Witty, erudite and bonkers wine drinking & chain smoking companion.

L, P – Close friends.

“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.” Anais Nin

“A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved.” Kurt Vonnegut

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  3. Hey! Thanks for all the likes and the comment! Thought you’d be interested to know that I’m actually applying for TEFL jobs in Asia at the moment so read your The Fat, the Bald and the Ugly post with great interest. If nothing else, seems like I’ll end up with some cracking material for my blog too!

  4. I commend and salute you sir. It is so unusual to hear a man talk about his feelings. I find your posts poignantly beautiful – keep up the good fight.

  5. Hey, thanks for following, I like your writing! Good luck with everything, it can only go up from here. Looking forward to your next post!
